Experiences from health and social care: the treatment of lower-paid ethnic minority workers

Published on 1 June, 2022.

We launched this inquiry to assess the treatment and experiences of lower-paid ethnic minority workers in health and social care. The inquiry covered Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) and took into account the different contexts of the health and social care systems operating in each nation. Our findings apply to Britain as a whole, unless stated otherwise. The areas we set out to examine included: – the numbers of hours worked – workplace policies, procedures and culture – the tasks allocated – the ability of workers to access redress, and – training and development opportunities.
